Driver Qualifications

Service Transport Company (STC), part of the Trimac Family of Companies, has established the following minimum driver qualification requirements to support safe, consistent operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 21 years old

  • Class A CDL with X endorsement

  • TWIC card

  • No more than two moving violations in the last three years

  • No involvement in any major preventable crash within the previous 3 years (including rear-end and DOT recordable crashes, excluding fatality crashes)

  • No involvement in preventable rollover or fatality crash within the previous 7 years

  • At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the previous 3 years

  • 2 years of tractor-trailer experience in the previous 5 years

  • 5 years of tractor-trailer experience in the previous 10 years

  • Open to driving school candidates

Independent Contractors

Tractor & Equipment Requirements:

  • Tractor must meet DOT, Level 1 inspection, and Service Transport inspection

  • Tractor must be 21,500 lbs. maximum with fuel, driver(s), and equipment included

  • Fifth Wheel must be between 50 and 52 inches in height

  • Tractor must be less than 13 feet in height, including exhaust stack(s)

  • Trucks older than 7 years require management approval

  • Must be PTO driven or hydraulic-driven

  • Intransit heat
